as a pharmacy tech i think part of it is also that most drugs are made in europe i barley see US made medications i do agree tho that we cant keep paying more when i worked retail id see 70+ year olds paying over 500 a month for a drug that they needed to survive meanwhile they are on a fixed income and barley have enough for the other things they need

Arent the pharma companies the ones selling the drugs to other countries at discount prices? Isnt this the long way around?? Just make them charge other countries a price that reflects their fair share of R&D?? This really seems like smoke and mirrors to me

My son’s one medication copay is 2.4k every 30 days and I paid for it with every cent and retirement savings I had x17 years. That exact same medication is either free or $25/mo in other countries. I’m now at retirement age and if it wasn’t for my disabled son living with me, to share the bills, I would have lost everything. It’s only money and my son is now healthy and he’s worth every cent, but all it takes is one catastrophic injury or illness to bankrupt you.

😂😂😂😂It's not everybody's elses fault that America can't make decent deals with the companies 😂😂😂 And in some countries the Government pays a % of the patients cost on medicin and remember that socialism, and you don't like that.

that's kinda how it's working in Germany, since birth your registered at a state medical welfare system that pays for simple doctor visits or for example glasses until your 18 and surgeries for example appendix surgery when it's infected

I am on social Security my Eliquis is 284 x 3 months before I meet my deductible. My inhalers is 400 x3 untill I meet the deductible. I get 2200 a month. Drug prices are obscene.
