So I was right to contact my labor attorney about being recorded on several different occasions without my knowledge or consent. They were trying to create an HR investigation off of this complaint as well as unconsented record recordings.

can you do live transcription if you're not making an audio or video recording of the meeting? also, if you make an audio recording and transcribe it, is that transcription admissible?

One more tip: make sure there’s no confidential information and what the policy/rules are about sharing information out of the system. I.E. not sending yourself propriety or confidential information.

Can you make a video of the opposite? like managers who are trying to help a low performer and their employee is retaliating with insane paperwork requests . What that means when the low performer starts sending absurd accusations about discrimination because they don’t want a write up

I informed my employer to not record me, she continues… California… and she video records our team meetings without asking for consent nor an option to opt out!

On Teams there’s a notice on the screen when a recording is being taken - is that not consent? They’re seeing the notice and choosing to continue.
