My favorite is when someone is denying reality and you know you will be punished for pointing it out so you hold your tongue. Then they look at you and say "oh good ahead and say it" and proceed to spiral out at you anyway. Like dude, I didn't pick the facts of the situation and I didn't even point them out. I just existed nearby without buying the BS 🙄

I told some people that I wanted to get a roof tent for my car. I was shot down in flames. what a ridiculous idea, the very concept was laughable to them. I showed them a website that was selling them and they said "you mean that other people are doing it?" They thought I had invented it myself but, as soon as they saw that the idea wasn't unique to me; What a great idea. "Maybe we should think about getting one" was the response.

I honestly think it’s because they know that we already knew. They know from experience that we think outside the box and we would’ve realized this almost immediately so it bothers them. Out of the box thinkers always scare Neurotypical because we’re always three steps ahead and it makes them feel insecure.

one of my tizzy hacks is if I know the answer to something I will say it but I'll say it in a way that seems like I'm not sure. then I'll (pretend to) google it right in front of them to confirm. if I don't do this they will tell me I'm wrong and we will go another 20 minutes arguing about it. 😂
