they should have a locking sharps disposal boxes! not only for the realities of substance use, but for diabetics and other people with medical conditions who need a clean private place to use their sharps.

I don’t think people realize how difficult it is to find a restroom to use in NYC unless you are a paying customer at a sit down restaurant or a customer of a hotel. It’s gotten better over the years because back in the 80’s and 90’s, McDonalds, pizza shops, none of them were letting anyone use bathrooms, even paying customers. You had to use it at port authority or penn station.. and ewww..
