When I was a kid, my mom would have to rake through my hair with the brush. It wasn’t a good brush either it was those hard plastic dollar store brushes. She would get so pissed I didn’t want my hair brushed it hurt so bad. She didn’t know how to properly brush hair still doesn’t I have to help her now all the time with her hair. One day in kindergarten she was raking it and I was moving around crying she hit me on the top of my head and broke that brush.. you best believe I still went to school
