SgtOso :
Sydney Sweeney never said she was an athlete. She did a commercial for a betting/prediction app. The COMPANY said their app is JUST SPORTS. To try and play on that, they had an actress who wearing JUST SPORTS gear. People are missing the concept here. If it had been Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, or Aln Ritchson fully naked an using sports equipment to hide their "equipment", would there be as much backlash? This is not about what represents sports and female athletes, this is an app saying, "our app is JUST SPORTS", not gas prices, the number of times Cris Collinsworth will praise Patrick Mahomes, or the number of times Whoopi Goldberg is will look confused on the The View. Novig is an app about JUST SPORTS. Sweeney is wearing only sports equipment. Novig came up with the ad, not Sweeney, she just got paid for it.
