She immediately asked, “What am I doing wrong? Is my technique wrong?” This was the perfect teaching moment. I explained that sometimes it’s not the technique it’s the client’s skin preparation. When clients aren’t exfoliating regularly, dead skin can build up and trap hairs beneath the surface, making it difficult for the wax to grab every hair. As estheticians, our job goes beyond hair removal. We also educate our clients on proper home care to help them achieve the best results possible. 💡 Consistent exfoliation = smoother skin, fewer ingrowns, and better hair removal results.
