@dailymailuk: More than 25 tractors turned up at a care home to give a tractor-loving dad the birthday surprise of a lifetime 🚜💙 Born on September 8, 1943, he was diagnosed with vascular dementia in November 2024 before suffering a major stroke on December 23, leaving him paralysed down his left side and without speech. His daughter says he grew up on a dairy farm surrounded by cows and sheep, developing a lifelong love of Massey Ferguson tractors and Shire horses. He later became a long-distance lorry driver, taking his daughter all over the UK as she grew up. Now living at Beaconsfield Care Home in Barnard Castle, his family wanted to make his birthday special. His daughter posted on Facebook asking tractor and wagon drivers to beep and wave if they saw him sitting outside — and more than 25 tractors showed up.
