@bohemianbeef: Another No Biggie for a Biggy, this time paddleboarding. And I’m not gonna lie, I fell. A lot. I kept trying to make the first board work until we eventually got me a bigger, wider, sturdier one and… turns out I can paddleboard just fine. Sometimes the problem isn’t that you’re too big to do something. You just need equipment that actually works for a bigger body. And I think that’s something worth remembering. Accommodations aren’t cheating. Getting a bigger board, asking for a different seat, modifying something, whatever it is, doesn’t make the experience count any less. You’re allowed to make things work for your body instead of making your body work for them. So get the bigger board. I had a blast. I fell in the water. I got back up. And I’d absolutely do it again. #NoBiggieForABiggy If being a bigger guy has ever made you nervous to try something, maybe this is your sign to try it anyway

Glad you had fun! If you do it again, your paddle needed to be longer for your height. Easy to adjust the paddle length. And you were doing it on the shore with waves… which is much harder than on a calm lake so good job. I am not a biggie and paddleboard very often, but I probs couldn’t stand on that water either. In choppy water I sit and paddle out away from the waves on the shore usually and it makes it easier to stand out there!
