I’ve always thought of Sombra’s hack as an evil that was necessary for the game. After all, the ppl who complain about Sombra are never happy with ANYTHING. Just give them a couple days after supp Sombra releases, when they start getting jumped every single game by Doom and Ball players who are going uncontested. They will start complaining about that too

i think it's a great idea, but why couldn't they do the thing with mirrorwatch? like keep the hack but you can hack enemies and teammates, and keep the cyberspace ability as well, then she'll be perfect.

Sombra is one of my mains (second highest level character) and this role change won't change that, but I think they could have done alot better with her perks. For example the minor perk "Life Hack" should be base kit if they really want to go the support route with "Data Packet" being a minor perk instead of major, then you could bring back Hack as a major perk. It would make it so you couldn't go around hacking people whenever and you'd have to decide rather to Hack this enemy or Hotfix your ally. They do definitely need to give her something so that her healing isn't on a cool down though. Good players will be able to track that there's only technically 1 support even if you are alive if all your abilities are on cooldown. Also glad I'm not the only one excited for Cyberspace 😅

They could’ve just remove the ability to interrupt abilities on base hack and just keep the dmg boost on hacked enemies remove virus and put the new ability

I don't like that she changed, she wasn't even that OP. However, I believe she will be good as a support. Every other match I get DPS players who seem to need to take a course at making picks.

Im agreeing with everything you said but its still sad that they remove hacking enemies like its her identity SHE IS A HACKER im also not a fan of her typ of healing wdym she can hack her teamates twice and then you need to wait i hope i that i still have fun on her and also i hope that our lvls stay imagine they resting it i would be so mad

If a characters identity revolves around a scale where they’re either busted or they’re mediocre, then that character is fundamentally flawed. I don’t care for most of what people saying, but let’s not act like Sombra’s entire identity for the last 4 years hasn’t been the mediocre silver rank destroyer. At the very least, changing her fundamentals allows blizzard to be more creative and will probably let them modernize her a bit more to fit the new design philosophy of the game

Without hack and a reduced teleport distance there’s really no good reason to flank especially if we’re supposed to be healers now. Best hacker in the world can’t hack. Make that one make sense Blizzard.

I went to BlizzCon and got to play Support Sombra and as a Sombra main she feels like how she was in OW1 but a little different. Cyberspace is so versatile and because Sombra can heal she gets EMP so much faster than before. I had my ult so fast at the start of the match it's insane.
