Through YC. A bit of a unicorn that way. Valued at $17 million. Harvard. And CMU before that. Partial scholarships to both. The one lesson school never taught her? Just try something new sometimes. You never know what you'll be good at. She was a statistics major. She does stats maybe 2% of her job now. A stats major turned skincare founder. Finance, then software, then consumer. She's taken many paths. The hardest lesson about money? It's okay to take on debt. It's okay to take on investors. So many founders think they have to do it all themselves. Own it all themselves. But that mindset stunts your growth. The best advice she ever got? Be weird. How weird? Pretty weird. She's a black belt in Taekwondo. She plays the flute. None of it goes together. Because people are like onions. Everyone has different layers. You can't take anyone at surface level. You have to understand how people have been at their worst to understand who they really are.
