Wall Street is rebuilding itself on crypto rails. The SEC approved Nasdaq's plan to trade Russell 1000 stocks, the 1,000 biggest companies in the US, in tokenized form. A tokenized stock is a share that lives on a blockchain. The New York Stock Exchange picked Securitize, a tokenization company backed by BlackRock, to build its own platform that trades around the clock. BlackRock, the biggest asset manager in the world at $15 trillion, is filing for more tokenized funds. Its CEO Larry Fink says tokenization today is where the internet was in 1996. And Kevin Warsh is now chair of the Federal Reserve, the US central bank. The Senate confirmed him 54 to 45, the closest Fed chair vote in modern history. Follow so you catch the next move early.
