You are learning which voices deserve attention, which requires examination, and which should not lead you. A SIMPLE DISCERNMENT PAUSE When something rises strongly within you, don't immediately act. Pause and ask: 1. What am I feeling or wanting? Name it. 2. What is underneath it? Look beneath the first answer. 3. What is this? Is it desire? Distraction? Escape? Calling? A genuine need? 4. What evidence supports my interpretation? Don't build an entire life decision around one emotional moment. 5. What would wisdom require? 6. What is mine to do now? 7. What needs prayer, preparation, conversation, support, or time? Then give yourself permission to wait when waiting is wise. Not every revelation requires immediate action.
