My heart was broken in 286 pieces. The amount of horses they planned on gathering. This is on 81,000 acres of land. There are 386 wild horses on it. They say there’s not enough room for more than 100. They said they will die during the winter so to “save” their lives, they will auction them off for $125. They talked about inmates benefiting from work with wild horses and no one mentioned the empathetic nature of horses and how sensitive they are. If they had, they would have to have mentioned how fearful and sad they must be to be removed from the only home they have ever known, to be descended upon by a loud helicopter, to be herded into pens, to be torn apart from their offspring, families and friends, to be crammed into a massive truck, to take them to Rock Springs, to be sold or worse. All to potentially save their lives. Or is it because the livestock the ranchers pay BLM to have access to the land need the food? #conservation #wildhorses #fyp #roundup #wildlife
