Savannah Guthrie made another emotional plea for help finding her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, more than seven months after she disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home. The Today anchor, 54, spoke about her mom during the Sept. 15 broadcast while discussing the 2026 Emmy Awards with Willie Geist. The moment came after the show aired comments from actress Allison Janney, who had just won her eighth Emmy for The Diplomat. Asked about Savannah’s family, Janney said she thinks about them every day and about what they are going through following Nancy’s Feb. 1 Kidn*pping. Savannah said she was deeply touched that Janney used part of her own celebration to remember her family. “I never let a moment pass, if I get one, to talk about my mom and how much we miss her and love her,” Savannah said. She explained that her sister, brother and extended family are still struggling and again asked the public for help. Then Savannah shared the simple thing her family wants most. “We just want our mom home, give her a proper goodbye. That’s all.” Savannah took several months away from Today after Nancy disappeared before returning to the show in April. The investigation remains ongoing. The FBI is asking anyone with information to contact authorities, including the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or the Pima County Sheriff’s Office at 520-351-4900.
