I’m Israeli and a non Zionist. This place is my home because I was born here and grew up here. I speak the language, my family is here, but as a far-leftist who opposes the government, the war(s) and the occupation of Palestinian territories I am reminded every day that people like me do not have a place here. I don’t feel safe, I am belittled and more just because I stand for humanity and peace. Thank you for sharing your views and just know that there are more like me in this country, less since 10/7, but we exist and fight for coexistence, justice and compassion and I hope that one day you will feel like you do have a home here (and this is something I hope to feel myself, too).

My best friend since I'm 13 is Jewish. She and her family are my family and vice versa. However, when she started telling me that everything about Gaza is staged and lies, I had to pull away. My heart is broken and I miss her intensely. But I couldn't continue with her with the Islamophobic things she was saying. Thank you for your words.
