That 1.3°C can easily be explained not as much by using oil and gas, but by roads, highways, and other thermally dense structures (concrete buildings and the like) in urban areas where there's not enough grass, trees, and natural waterways to release heat efficiently. For record: the measured temperature is taken 6 feet above the ground in a well shaded location. Meaning your cars temperature is closer to what we'll feel if walking outside. We don't need less oil usage, we need more dispersion of the population to allow for nature to function how it was designed to.
