@becoming.bobbi: My 9–5 pays the bills. I’m building what comes next. And honestly, I think there’s a big difference between being unhappy with your job and wanting more options. I don’t hate my 9–5. I’ve worked since I was 19. I’ve spent most of my career in finance, and I’m grateful for the things my job has provided for me and my family. But I also know that I don’t want my paycheck from someone else to be my ONLY source of income forever. Because life changes. Bills change. Priorities change. Your family changes. And eventually, you start thinking about what you want the next chapter to look like. For me, that means building something alongside my 9–5. Not quitting tomorrow. Not pretending I have it all figured out. Not expecting overnight success. Just learning. Learning digital marketing. Learning content creation. Learning how digital products work. Learning how to use social media to create something of my own. And yes, sometimes it feels uncomfortable. I’m 50. I’m starting from scratch in something completely new, and there are definitely moments when I wonder if I’m crazy for doing this. But you know what I keep reminding myself? I’d rather spend my time building an option than wishing I had started sooner. Maybe you’re in the same place. Maybe your job is fine. Maybe you’re thankful for your paycheck. But maybe you also want a little more breathing room. More choices. More flexibility. More money coming in. More control over what your future looks like. You don’t have to quit your job to start building something of your own. You just have to start. That’s what I’m doing.
