Trucker here. We avoid filling up in California like the plague. So we're more than likely grabbing a little bit of fuel in California and then filling up in Arizona or Nevada. The rest of your points still stand though

I am thinking we’ll also see an increase in nut prices. I have two friends who own almond orchards in Northern California, and both have said their crops are particularly bad this year. If that’s representative of what other growers are experiencing, I imagine it could affect almond prices substantially as well.
