@airic.z: I am shocked by number 2 because its the fundamentals of a relationship 🥺 How are you doing financially compared to the average UK couple? UK wealth transparency UK financial statistics #ukpersonalfinance
the fact that im meeting these and still do not feel comfortable makes me so worried for society in the UK. The fact this is just average, and really not a comfortable life by any means is shocking.

this is what scares me, because we are clearly above the average and I have the feeling (actually the math) we will never build generational wealth, because we both come from families without any generational wealth and all the savings come from the corporate ladder we are climbing (with sweat) and being very attentive in spending (no car, no takeaways, no holidays a part for travelling to see our families, no credit card, the only debt is the house mortgage).
the idea that there are families in worst conditions, maybe also with kids and rent, makes me worried for this society

We hit all of these. We have DONT TOUCH savings which we aim to allow us to retire early and yet my company is behind in paying me for 2 months and we feel pinched. Two kids. Mortgage. And we are two months without my pay and feeling it and it’s not my fault it’s my dickhead CEO refusing to admit it’s time to close the company as we’ve no money.
