@cbspittsburgh: Congrats to you, Ross Guidotti! Pittsburgh Mayor Corey O'Connor visited the KDKA-TV newsroom to help celebrate Guidotti's career and declare Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, as "Ross Guidotti Day." Guidotti is retiring on Friday after more than 30 years in television. He joined KDKA in 2001 as a general assignment reporter, and in the years prior to and after, he covered major stories including hurricanes, forest fires, efforts to impeach former President Bill Clinton and the Sago mine disaster. Guidotti has also been nominated for three Emmys and was awarded one in 2003. He was also awarded A Golden Quill and an Associated Press Award in 2003. Guidotti served in the United States Marine Corps and is a Desert Storm veteran.
