I had classmates in the first year of primary school that would make sexual jokes randomly, obviously just imitating the adults, or laugh at showing each other's intimate parts under a table. I also remember how sometimes kids in middle school would just show porn to others on a phone (the ones that still had buttons, it was still in the flip phone era), they would gather around during recess to watch. It was so normalized from such a young age.

As a girl who discovered porn at an extremely young age, it does fuck you up so bad. I only managed to get rid of this addiction at the start of the year, and I'm 17, I discovered it when I was like 9 or something. And I really wish more people took it seriously. Because it's either so normalized, or seen as gross and tmi and it makes it extremely hard to reach out for help. Ever since I stopped, my mental health as visibly increased, but I still struggle a lot and especially with my body image. Porn completely destroy what the average body should look like, so it doesn't surprise me that it'll affect someone to the point of developing an ED

When my nephew turned 9, he got a Happy Birthday card from my adult cousin - of a girl in a bikini sitting sexually on a car. His dad laughed about it and my nephew was happy you get it. I remember a boy I knew telling me he lost his virginity at 13 to a 19 year old babysitter. And how he just doesn’t really have interest in sex and will say yes when asked but never asks himself. I was 14 and didn’t have the brain power but all I knew was that that was fucked up and I’d never treat him like that. As I got older I realized he was such a victim and I really hope he doesn’t have to live like that of that anymore
