L’accord des adjectifs de couleur est un vrai casse-tête en français, mais tout devient limpide quand on maîtrise l'orthographe français et ses subtilités. Pour éviter chaque faute d'accord et réussir tes dictées ou tes écrits, voici les 3 règles fondamentales à retenir : 1️⃣ L’adjectif de couleur simple : C'est la base de la grammaire française. Quand la couleur est un adjectif pur, il s’accorde normalement en genre (féminin/masculin) et en nombre (singulier/pluriel) avec le nom qu’il qualifie, exactement comme n'importe quel autre adjectif qualificatif. 👉 Exemple concret : des chemises blanches (blanc devient blanche au féminin, puis blanches au pluriel). 2️⃣ L’adjectif dérivé d’un nom (qui fait référence à un fruit, une fleur, une pierre précieuse ou un métal...) : C'est l'un des plus grands pièges orthographiques français ! Lorsqu’un adjectif de couleur vient d’un nom commun, la règle veut qu'il devienne un adjectif de couleur invariable. On écrira donc "des jupes roses". 3️⃣ Les couleurs composées : Dès qu’un adjectif de couleur est formé de deux mots ou plus (comme une couleur associée à une nuance, à un autre adjectif ou à un autre nom), l'ensemble est strictement invariable. C'est une règle de grammaire facile à retenir si on applique la bonne méthode. 👉 Exemple concret : des vestes vert kaki (ou encore des yeux bleu clair, des tissus vert foncé).
