That would be the day that’s when the student gets kicked out of the classroom and sent home. This didn’t happen to us years ago. I don’t even remember bullying in the 60s and 70s or actually the 80s. This is just sickening. It’s the parents these kids are on games all day. Take the stuff away.

Quick question: can teachers tell if a kid is an iPad kid compared to a kid with little to no screen time? Personally, I’ve noticed that kids who struggled socially also had access to an insane amount of screen time.

This isn’t just in BC…it’s this “inclusive education” approach. When a child cannot behave, they simply can’t be included with a group of non behavioral kids for educational purposes…they shouldn’t be in mainstream school, it’s not helping the child and there isn’t the one on one support for them…

Students also witness this violence. Parents should be informed if their child has witnessed violence or been evacuated from a classroom due to another students violent/aggressive behavior.

The inclusion rules need to be re evaluated. These teachers are not trained and nit qualified to deal with these behaviors. and it's not fair to ANY student to miss out on educational time because someone's kid *Should* be in an alternative school with proper specialized supports. Inclusion and "no child left behind" is doing more harm than good.

The system needs to change. My brother had an IEP all through school and was a nightmare to live with at home. The school didn't want to invest in proper supports for him, and neither did the government. My mom tried to get him enrolled in special schools so he could get better support ~ refused multiple times due to lack of seats. He had his EA taken from him one year because he was 'doing better' and his behavioral issues skyrocketed. He was in behavioral therapy, but eventually was unable to keep going more than 1x per month because the rates kept climbing beyond his funding, and my mom couldn't afford it OOP. It's not meaningful inclusion. It's something to make them feel better about it while ignoring the kids are just not compatible with regular school, and need seperate education streams.
