I can explain it!! so, the reason some queer individuals get so defensive over queer pairings is rather an instinctive act of defense, most queer people like queer ships because they feel represented through them so whenever they see something say ship that involves a character they ship with another, they tend to feel like that they are getting invalidated in a way since queer people aren't In media often ! since they can only stick to "implications" but of course, harassing others over any ship. whether queer or straight isn't okay
