Confident after weeks of practice, the mermaid girl settled into position and prepared to demonstrate exactly how good she'd gotten at blowing bubble rings. Her first attempt came out flawlessly, a clean, symmetrical ring spinning slowly upward toward the surface. She followed it with another, then another, each one holding its shape longer than the last. The cameraman filmed the whole sequence, genuinely impressed by how consistent she'd become. Between rings she grinned toward the camera, clearly enjoying showing off a skill that took real patience to master. Bubble rings look simple, but controlling breath and mouth shape precisely enough underwater is harder than most people realize. She made it look effortless, which is usually the sign of plenty of failed attempts beforehand. Talent like this deserves a little showing off.
