Kazakhstan is doing the same. Throughout these four years of the Russia–Ukraine war, the Kazakh government has maintained close economic ties with Russia. Kazakhstan has been used as a transit and re-export route for sanctioned goods transported from abroad to Russia, and Kazakhstan has also been sending own military equipment to Russia.
