I have that book. But i am so deeply invested in Sumerian now, i havnt managed to get very far with Egyptian yet. Part of me wishes I started with Egyptian. I would be able to read Egyptian by now if i did. Also the fact you need to be an artist to write Egyptian hieroglyphs put me off

are there reliable ways to learn it if I can't enroll in classes or buy textbooks for it, like videos explaining it or something? I've always loved ancient cultures and I've been wanting to learn hieroglyphs for a while now but didn't know there was any actual reliable ways to learn them since my school always taught that they were virtually impossible to understand

The universe is trying to tell me something. It's saying I need to watch less TikTok and read more books. Specifically this exact book, that as I lay here in bed, has been on my nightstand for almost a year. I still can't read hieroglyphics. I'll touch base in a month or two and let you know how it's going. Hint ... it won't be going well.
