It seems the issue people had was less with the sponsorship and more with it being Julianne. And that was combined with the fact that we get to see the elimination during the credits and they rush the judges, but then make room for Derek and Julianne to dance. I can understand why all of these things happened, so Not my feelings, just some complaints I saw.

I didn’t mind it at all because I knew it was for the sponsorship and because of that I noticed an improvement in what the show was able to do for the season premiere. And same goes for the first episode of the podcast. I didn’t even mind Sephora’s placement either. Now the next sponsorship I need them to get is with a national food chain to create a dinner/ meal option, so I can have my own, at how, dinner and a show experience! [Laugh approved]

exactly. I keep saying that the sponsorships are a net positive. it's increasing Dancing With The Stars' budget which is what we like to see.

Macy’s did it so well when it was Macy’s stars of dance, the product wasn’t part of the dance. I think that is where this missed the mark a bit.
