@emilyknwn: AI agents are asking for more access than any software before them. Capability matters, but trust may be the thing that determines which agents people actually use. #AIAgents #Meta #AI #Tech #facebook
For stuff like that, I would much rather use self hosted open source tools I mean, might not have all the bells and whistles, but it doesn’t have to go through a centralized server and give up all of the information that you supply it with

I get it BUT has any large tech company not gotten in trouble for using data the wrong way? we would kind of have to pack it up and move in to the mountains

Agreed. I was really impressed by how Muse was implemented. They basically just spun up an agent harness in a dedicated lightweight VM, complete with standard AGENTS.md, skill folders, cronjobs, etc. It's surprisingly transparent - you can browse the System Files right from the phone app. Compared to Claude/ChatGPT/Gemini it's amazingly open. I even asked Muse to zip up its Rust based agent binary so I could take a look at it. To test the system out, I had it create a Facebook Marketplace post for me. The AI guys at Meta did a nice job and I learned a lot how an agent system like that could be done well at scale. Now I'll never use it again because the company as a whole is pure evil, and the people working there obviously have zero ethics.

Exactly Meta is not my favorite company, and I really tend to not patronize them at all
