we all need to agree that being a married woman doesn't give you higher status or value than an unmarried woman...which can be hard to unlearn. I grew up hearing that marriage was the pinnacle of womanhood. Took years to realize it's complete bs.

girll yess...I was recently having a conversation with someone and I said our mothers enabled abusive and irresponsible fathers because they viewed being favored by them as the prize ...its better to enable him and his filthy behaviour and seem agreeable to him rather than be against him

Sadly they have been raising all our feminine ancestors to teach all the little girls that cooking, cleaning and attending to all of man's needs made us good women and staying in bad relationships and tolerating bad behavior made us good wives and never teaching us to take care of ourselves 😢 like we were unimportant or do not count because we are only women 😡
