As an asexual I explored this exact topic a lot in therapy! Not every romantic relationship has to be sexual and sex and intimacy can take so many different forms for different people. if you love someone and have a strong enough relationship you will work with eachother to make things work!

I think the important question is how do u feel ab it? I have vulvodynia so sex is sometimes impossible, when it is possible I still get consequences from it.. ppl always say “oh u need to find someone who is okay with that, u need to find someone who’s priority isnt sex” but NO ONE ever asks me how I feel about it? do I want it? do I need it? why do ppl only care about ur partner’s wishes? what about mine? I’m also a human with needs that has to live with this condition… so my question to you is, how r u handling it? are u okay with it? either way, I’m happy u found ur other half, and I wish u a long and happy marriage 🫶🏻🫂

I also have vaginismus, was so bad a year ago, and now with physiotherapy I am almost completely rid of it. Also, lots of counseling. My boyfriend stood by me through everything. The good guys are out there 🫶🏼

No worries young lady. I married my wife because I want to spend the rest of my life with her and nothing to do with sex. I was honest from the start with her . as an asexual, i have a long term partner who understood my boundaries before we even started dating. and still continues to respect them and uphold them. there is people out there who will love you unconditionally without those aspects of a relationship 😎
