Divorce is very costly costing tens of thousands of dollars, sometimes more than that, and not even taking into account splitting possessions packing everything up, moving and selling the house and everything goes along with that. In the current economic climate in our country, quiet divorce sounds like a very viable option.

This is exactly how I’ve been living for years. We don’t have a terrible marriage, but it’s not great. He’s not supportive, he’s not there for me when I really need him, and he will always put himself first. He’s not abusive, he doesn’t cheat. But what made me realize that I did not want to be in the marriage anymore, is knowing that if we stayed in this quiet divorce, he’s going to expect sex for me and I just cannot do it.

I'm finding out that my husband is a dismissive avoidant. I can handle it no more. it was not like that in the beginning. money is hard. I'm staying until I get my stuff in order and I'm completely checked out. it may take 2 years and that's ok. I leave I'm alone I stay I feel alone.

Yup! 10 years in doing this! I simply don’t have the means to leave and we have kids. It sucks the life out if me for sure. I don’t recommend it. Leaving is better, and even better- Do not get married!!!
