@itsalotpod: Now that the Lindsay Clancy trial has ended in a mistrial, I have recorded an IT’S A LITTLE bonus episode talking about the reaction from men, even those who claim to be “well intended”. Across the US, men are warning women that the fact that many women believe that Clancy was in post partum psychosis at the time of the crimes is evidence that women should LOSE THE RIGHT TO VOTE or is good enough reason to not have a female president for the foreseeable future. The same rules don’t seem to apply for men, despite the fact that over 90% of family annihilators in the US are men. There have also been many man mischaracterising (and mansplaining) post-partum psychosis, saying that women are doing themselves a disservice by “blaming hormones”. This is not a case of blaming hormones. Psychosis is a mental health crisis can be experienced by ANYONE. This episode is not to discuss the details of the case, but more so the reaction to the case and the discourse around it.
