There is a parallel of the car’s bulletproof window, impenetrable by design, and Bond’s impenetrability. That thin layer of glass is pushed to the edge, just like his “bulletproof” facade. You’re seeing both pushed to their limits

Such a good movie I love the first 20 mins and the Havana scene. The villian could’ve been a bit better in term of the writing.

After the existential crisis of Skyfall I just felt like that was the crescendo of this era of Bond. I liked parts of Spectre, namely the opening going into the title theme where Bond is in the helicopter. This movie? So much just did do it for me. But this particular sequence OP is spot on. It was amazing.

Sorry to hog your post - but whilst on holiday I rewatched Quiz Show - it made me realise how much your age colours your viewing/reviewing - how much I saw this time that I didn’t decades ago - and I watched it mibbe 20 + times. As I get older I’m unsure if there’s a perfect movie - but I believe with all my heart lots of movies are jam packed with perfect bits. And you get to walk away happy - Quiz Show is one of those movies.

reminds of The Man From Nowhere when he literally holds the gun up to the glass windshield and just keeps firing until the bullets can finally get through. such an amazing scene because you feel it

New bond is your favorite? I love all the Bonds and can't tell you ny favorite movie. Daniel Craig was the most physical Bond, though.
