Don't use the default baseplate as your main map surface it makes the game look slop. Avoid copying currently viral games that rely on simple, but shortlived addictive loops. Aim for clean, solid design it doesn't have to be overly complex, but it should be polished enough for players to notice your effort look at classic RP games and simulators that have kept thousands of active players for years. Don't lump your work together with slop, short-term game.. they are popular because of exposure (ads, engagement, reaching content creators) not the game structures 💙
