Louisiana built a levee around New Orleans East and they trucked the dirt in from Mississippi across those bridges. Louisiana should have to cover most of the cost for the bridges failing, they are old but those trucks weighed 80k+ pounds when loaded.

I worked with a company called terracotta on those bridges to test the soil and ground around it but not sure who was doing the other work after all that

I used to go to slidell to spend my husband's money. now his money stays in Mississippi to avoid the interstate. them bridges are fine. let us cross at our own risk

Not surprised. Louisiana/Pearl River kept that Spur 41 bridge closed for YEARS before they decided to fix it. Years of being closed and arguing on Fb that it’s out of their hands.
