Having a cat that doesn't love to be cuddly all of the time is great too! He adores chatting with me, only wants a paw touching me while he sleeps, but is soo spunky and funny. He's a rescue, his owners surrendered him, I don't know his history. All I know is he's loved and I'll always meet him where he's at. 💕

I wanted a cuddly baby. when I held my girl she was so snuggly. but she's a kitten. I fully expect that as she gets bigger she may not be as cuddly. but for now she let's me hold her like a baby

I foster with my mom and we had this cat and she was the sweetest and she got adopted and the lady said she was aggressive wich she totally was not she was being playfull so she returned her and then she wanted this other cat so she adopted that one instead and aperently she or he was too playfull/cuddly and she basically just wanted a lap cat so after that we denied her from adopting from any cat from this rescue

We adopted a brother/sister kitten pair. It has taken 5 years and the girl is just now wanting to sit on our laps, but she’s still skiddish. The boy would be happy if he could live IN my skin with me. Cats are going to cat. That’s the only thing for certain! 🤣

A literal feral cat is the only disqualification for me! One of my cats was the most unwanted cats in the shelter because she had litter box issues. I adopted her and yes she had some issues the first month but once she figured it out, we never had an issue again until she was in her last days! She was so snuggly and loving!

Cuddly cats are great but getting to know a cat as an individual is underrated as heck. I took in a bonded brother and sister to TNR them and that was extended because she gave birth prematurely. He decided he didn't want to be feral anymore and is now my cuddle baby boy and she decided she likes warm beds and regular meals enough to tolerate me. She trusts me enough to receive regular medical care and she'll sit on the couch and foot away from me and make blinky eyes. She's also her own funny intelligent girl that enriches my life and the lives of her housemates. Wouldn't change her for anything.

i had to say goodbye to my Arlo; he had a urinary blockage, and it was good. He was such a cuddle muffin, but he wasn't clingy. I would love to find a cat like Teddy, but I know that might not happen because there is only one Teddy.

Exactly cats are unique to their owner. I have a large Maine coon cat named Velcro. He has always loved me and only me no one else can even look at this cat, his litter, mate, lightning a tuxedo, cat most loving cat you’ve ever seen he will love everybody

My cat, Merlin was not cuddly at all when I first got him. He's still not a lap cat, but he can very cuddly with me on his terms. He's very wary of people he doesn't know and trust but he's very loving when he wants to be. One of the things I love about cats is that you have to earn their trust. I just wouldn't want a cat who was viscous all the time.

My boy pees on everything he’s fixed we have 7 litter boxes and 5 cats. He’s done this since he was a kitten I’ve taken him to multiple vets to make sure everything is okay they run the tests and then tell me to take him to a behavioral specialist but I can’t afford it that’s like $1200 in my area i’m at a loss now he’s the only boy cat so I don’t think it’s a dominance thing he has his own areas. He’s the only one that we allowed to sleep on our bedroom but like he’ll pee on clothes, pillows, blankets pretty much anything you can at this point like we don’t do anything I don’t hear him. I don’t spray him. I just look at Emma check my head and disappointment. I changed the litter boxes right now. We’re on all robotic and one normal filter self gets changed every week and we like clean the litter box every other day I don’t know what to do at this point but another cat that pees on everything would be a dealbreaker for me. I don’t know if it’s stress because he’s done it since he was a kitten like I fostered him and then as soon as he got fixed, and we took him home he started doing it.
