spent 9 hours at my desk today (2pm to 11pm) (yes i took some breaks but still) then when it hit 11 and i realized how exhausted and mentally drained i was, i wasn't retaining ANYTHING. hate wasting my young adult life on studying for classes that aren't even for my major bro

Every day teacher in my class wants to give us a test every single friday just so we can move onto the next standard the next week and im genuinely not learning anything on my last test i got a 27 after repeating that i didnt understand and had to ask a classmate for help because my teacher is so stuck up. And saying “this is as easy as it gets”

I was just having a conversation with my mom about this. As someone who is very curious and genuinely loves to learn, it’s so discouraging to realize more and more that school is no longer for learning. Actually trying to understand the material honestly just gets you behind ☹️.

This is EXACTLY what’s happening. I want to learn and they want us to pass. Rushing our classwork and giving us answers to “get to the point” when we don’t even have time to actually GRASP the work we’re learning. And then when we return to class we have a CFU or EOU Test. Like please, teach me and then don’t get me started on homework(it’d be a bias answer)

There’s no time to ACTUALLY learn a subject, to learn something I want to be learning it for a week at least, not talking abt it for like two days then taking two quizzes that week and then a test the first Monday the next
