As an AuDHD researcher (not on autism) a lot of the times we’re doing the science because according to scientist, it doesn’t exist unless there’s a study. So the stuff I’m working to “prove” most of it is tribal knowledge that everyone knows, but the medical or therapy establishment won’t listen to because there’s not a paper on it. Makes you want to roll up the paper and smack them on the nose with it like a bad puppy once you publish it. 😂😂

this woman in my weight loss class was telling the coach how she quickly gets bored with a lot of activities and her physio thinks she has hEDS. I dead ass said "so do you take medication for your ADHD or are you still waiting to get diagnosed" she and the coach were really confused but a bunch of other people started talking about their neurospicyness🤣

it's the curse and blessing of science. science isn't oftentimes about learning something that isn't already known. it's about scientifically validating or verifying what is intuitively known but as yet unverified.

My biggest issue being a GP with AuDHD who specializes in ADHD is that I can’t write “pt definitely is ADHD, can tell cause vibes and convo style” instead I have to do all the formal shit to confirm the Neuro-Spicy brain matching that no neurotypical will understand
