Meanwhile.. when I was a newbie sonographer I pressed the code blue button in the ED during a portable exam because the guy sat up and shouted “I can’t breathe!” clutched his chest, and fell back onto the stretcher with his eyes closed. He was indeed breathing. I panicked. lol

Do y’all not do rapid response drills at you work? I’m a CT/Xray/Mammo tech. I know to check if the patient is breathing, has a heartbeat, go for more help, get a wheelchair, etc. I mean come on you work in healthcare, you have to know some of this?!

I freakeddddd out one time I was working at a clinic this guy was looking for the near by optometrist but had a heart attack in the car...he was LUCKY he had that heart attack in the vascular surgeons clinic parking lot. we had to give him meds and CPR. 911 was called and they came like 15+ mins later and put the lucus machine on him. he survived

I'm a student. I went into the room to scan a RUQ and I immediately felt the patient was acting off. As I read the right love/rt kidney interface the patient started having a stroke. [Heartwarming] I panicked my way right through what came to mind first. Threw the guard rail up, checked for responsiveness, rolled the patient on their side, and ran to the door to yell for help, then ran back to the patient. They sent me on a long lunch right after that [Tears of joy]
