@truecrimewithwine: 🚨 TRUE CRIME: THE DEATH OF 2-YEAR-OLD OCTAVIA BOHNE 🚨 On November 7, 2024, 2-year-old Octavia Bohne was found unresponsive at a Sturgis, Michigan home. Her death sparked a major investigation, ultimately leading to charges against her mother, Paige Bohne, and Paige’s boyfriend, Fredrick Nelson. Paige Bohne later pleaded no contest to first-degree child abuse and assault with intent to do great bodily harm. In December 2025, she was sentenced to 225 months to 45 years for first-degree child abuse, plus 4 years, 9 months to 10 years for the assault charge, with the sentences running concurrently. Fredrick Nelson was initially charged with first-degree felony murder and tampering with evidence. Those charges were later dismissed as part of a plea agreement. In May 2026, Nelson was sentenced to 40–60 months in prison for being an accessory after the fact. Octavia was only 2 years old.
