@dustinreadsbooks: Sorry if any of these are your fave books, but I'm not reading them 🤷🏼♂ Here are five popular books that I just don't want to pick up. Have you read any of these? And if so, am I wrong? 😅 Books mentioned: 📚 Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger 📚 Fourth Wing - Rebecca Yarros 📚 Atomic Habits - James Clear 📚 ACOTAR - Sarah J Maas 📚 Dungeon Crawler Carl - Matt Dinniman We can still be friends if you like these books, I promise 😭 #bookish #BookTok #reading #bookrecs #popularbooks
“Too many pages” is a dumb argument when each Stephen King book is about the length of a Dungeon Crawler Carl book. Not to MENTION the length of The Stand by Stephen King.

Honestly Catcher in the Rye is quite sincere! I think the perspective can be better appreciated as an adult

The hype around DCC kills it for me. I feel like it’s too much. lol I might eventually cave and read it, but my tbr is already a mile long.

As someone who thoroughly enjoyed ACOTAR, I can respect your takes. Romantasy/Fantasy is not everyone's cup of tea and that's okay. 🤷♀️

The way people try to sell others on DCC drives me up a wall 😭😭😭 like we get it, it’s your sense of humor. Key word, YOUR. Honestly I haven’t even read it but I’ve listened to a few critique videos about it and from what’s described, it sounds childish and repetitive and boring. And I also don’t like the way he depicts women. Sue me.

I read Catcher in the Rye this year, never had to as student. Couldn’t stand it. I don’t understand the hype

This has to just be trying to be controversial with the DCC opinion. It not being your genre or cup of tea is fine, but the longest one is still like 400 pages shorter than It. lol

oh my word! as you were speaking, I could see The Stand behind you! talk about wordy! Stephen King likes words, maybe too much!

Amazing takes. Instant like and realization that I was already a follower! 😅Unfortunately I read DCC for a book club. It quickly turned into a spite read so I could drag that trash appropriately.
