I know you are not coming from a bad place with this video, but please understand how exhausting it is to work in a field that constantly gets shorted. We are medical professionals. Yes…. We have full blown ER’s, we have ICU, we have NICU, we have isolation wards. We have practically every specialty that human medicine has. Veterinary medicine is exactly that, MEDICINE. Thank you.

We also run the same bloodwork and use a lot of human medication. Vitals are done the same way. Well except for the temp [Big LOL][Laugh approved]

I have worked in both human and animal ERs! It is crazy how similarly they operate, down to the doctors hiding at the end of (or past the end of) their shift to finish their charting

What do people think we do? That probably sounds sarcastic but I mean it genuinely- all the people shocked at pretty low level stuff in vet med. When you hear emergency or critical care or specialty or medicine, do you think we’re lying or exaggerating?

We can do so many advanced things in vet med. We have MRIs, dialysis, ventilators, radiotherapy, you name it! It’s a really cool field! Our nurses are the best and deserve so much more respect and pay than they already do. Hope your dog is okay ♥️
