For me it was going off birth control, not drinking almond or soy etc. healing my nervous system- chiro, yoga. Not washing my face in the morning as it disrupted my skin barrier. I know it sounds weird but try it. Buy matrix acid for break outs. Gentle cleaners! Sometimes salycilic cleanser. But not too much. It makes your skin produce more sebum. A green+ egg breakfast. And yes quite literally breakup with a man if unhappy, a job. Don’t walk around in an environment that makes you unhappy. Oh and Differin gel for a year! I have been acne free since, I have just switched over to tretinoin and it’s been amazing! Good luck you will get through this!! 💕

Azelaic Acid is the only thing that EVER cured my acne. I’m now two years into using it and never have pimples.

face reality products changed my life. I got acne like this after turning 30 and have used medical grade skincare my entire adult life. it seemingly came out of nowhere.

I think this is a reminder that clear skin doesn’t necessarily mean healthy and vice versa. Literally might just be your body producing more sebum which can be completely okay.

What about your nervous system? You might be sensitive to histamine. High histamine foods (that are good for us) but contain to much histamine and some people are very sensitive to it

Hi!! ND here. Acne shows us there’s an underlying inflammatory process happening in the body, whether that’s driven by hormones, gut, blood sugar, histamine, etc. I highly suggest seeing an experienced ND!

I worked with a functional med doc and discovered eggs were a big culprit! Highly recommend doing all the gut tests and blood work 🫶🏻

it could definitely be your body getting adjusted to being off of birth control. Hang in there it gets better!

I got the explanation that because of my hormonal disbalance (too much androgen) my skin barrier is just chronically weak and sensitive, which causes my skin to not shed as quickly as it would normally do. So no matter what you do, heal your gut etc - if these hormones are not in balance, you can do whatever, it's not going to help...

I added hypoclouris acid spray into my routine, I use it all through the day and it cleared my acne that nothing else would get rid of, I also swear by my shark cyro glow mask and dr Dennis gross peel pads to get rid of any scaring left behind!

No joke, my ferritin (stored iron) was 22 and I’ve increased it to 38 in 2 months by taking liquid Floradix. I am NOT consistent taking it, I’ll admit, and Floradix doesn’t have that much iron in it but I feel 1000x better (not 100% obvs) but one thing I’ve noticed is I’m not breaking out anymore!!!!! I truly think my low iron/low ferritin and my acne were related.

B12 injections triggered full face acne for me. It was a set of three injections back to meant to last six months. Started showing up within a week of the last injection and by month 2 it was full blown and down my neck and on my back. It took me almost a year to recover. Turns out some people get really bad acne from B12, and if you get injections, which are much more potent, it triggers it quickly and severely. I avoid B12 now. I use azalc acid during the day, tretinoin with skin cycling routine, get a facial once a month, avoid any pore clogging skincare and sunscreens When I sweat from my outdoor hobbies, as soon as I’m done, I immediately wipe my face with micellar water and use a hypochlorous spray. Avoid B12, cut out dairy. I hope you’re able to resolve this.
