@deceased_pontiff: Mother Mushroom Brewery & Farmstay on Campobello Island in Canada recently announced that it is considering relocating to the U.S. amid the escalating trade war between the countries, Bangor Daily News reported. The small brewery said it has no choice but to relocate to Lubec, Maine. The countries have been engaged in a tariff dispute since President Donald Trump started his second term in office. However, in August, tensions escalated when he placed a 50 percent tax on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods. Canada responded by announcing similar dollar-for-dollar retaliatory tariffs, CBS News reported. Mother Mushroom Brewery has called Campobello Island its home for more than a year. Campobello is a unique isle in southwestern New Brunswick that is linked to the U.S. by a bridge to Lubec. There is no bridge from the island to mainland Canada. Zoltan and Laura Fox, who run the brewery on an oceanfront lot, said that geography has become the central problem.
