We have drones for this kind of thing. Why anyone would ever get into a helicopter anymore is beyond me.

They definitely weren’t out of fuel. The intense fire after the crash showed that plenty of fuel was present.

fuel checks are regular during long shifts. This was not a lack of fuel.

Sounds like They had an engine failure and I don’t think the pilot dumped the collective fast enough to do an auto rotate to go safely to the ground.

Just like that, we are here and then we are gone. The other person on the ground that was hit by the chopper had just flown into town just to pick up a car and was to drive it back to his country. His mom said it was un real because he was just there with her that morning and then later in the evening she was told about his passing. Stay safe everyone and RIP to everyone involved.

You can physically hear what sounds like the engine shut down during the first part of the horn going off.

Serious question. Would jumping out from that height, possibly slightly lower, be less fatal that staying in the helicopter?

Fuel wasn't the issue. Anyone who frequently watched Eliana's livestreams through the app has heard her ask George for fuel updates countless times over the years because that was how she gauged the amount of time she had left to film before they had to head back to the airport.
