🚨🇬🇭 UPDATE | GHANA JOLLOF CASE The CID Boss, COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, has provided an update on ongoing investigations involving TikTok personality Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, popularly known as “Ghana Jollof.” According to the Ghana Police Service, investigations have linked Kodua to the publication of alleged false news and comments considered capable of causing fear, alarm and violence. Police cited, among other content under investigation, an alleged claim of a near coup d’état at Jubilee House. (OnuaOnline) Police also confirmed the arrest and remand of Salomey Awiti Bafoh, a nurse based in Techiman, who is alleged to have assisted in recruiting people to redistribute and circulate videos produced by Kodua across various social media platforms. (Ghana News Agency) The CID further alleged that financial transactions between the two women supported the activities under investigation, with forensic examinations of mobile devices and mobile-money records forming part of the evidence being gathered. Salomey has been charged with abetment of crime, to wit, publication of false news, and is expected to reappear in court on September 30, 2026. Investigations are ongoing to identify other persons allegedly involved.
