سهيل اليماني 🐎🐎Bdr :
عبارة "عندما تقرر أن تلعب بالنار، فلا تملأ الدنيا صراخاً عندما تحترق" هي مقولة شهيرة تعبر عن تحمل مسؤولية القرارات الخطرة.

Religious growth was always prevalent in my mother’s life - despite it appearing to be for the “wrong reasons” at first. Thirty years ago when she started observing the laws of Shabbos (the Jewish Sabbath), it was right after she and my dad divorced. The only reason she did it was because I have been keeping Shabbos with my father for years and she didn’t want me to lose the parental support in this area. She had no interest in keeping Shabbos for any other reason. She said over the years that she grew to love it, which was proven true because her growth in Judaism has been steady, consistent, and at her own pace. When she asked me a few days ago to help her buy a Sheitel (wig), my first response was “I knew it!” I had been saying for months that she’s was going to start covering her hair any minute now. I also find it so special that she did it right before Rosh Hashana, which is the perfect time to take on a new Mitzvah. The Mitzvah of hair covering has always been near and dear to me for many reasons, but one of which was that my Babula used to cover her hair in Uzbekistan. She stopped when coming to the United States, not because she got tired of it but because she wanted to help her family fit into American culture better. I always felt fortunate that I had the ability to do the mitzvah of hair covering while still fitting in and looking beautiful. I am also fortunate that I live in a community where any hair covering choice (or lack thereof) is acceptable. Now my mother is choosing to do this mitzvah too, and she can do it while still looking and feeling like herself. When my Babula first saw me in a Sheitel, she said that she was so proud of the life choices I was making. Seeing her daughter now also choosing to cover her hair - well there is no doubt that she’s dancing in heaven. Wishing everyone who is celebrating Rosh Hashana a wonderful and meaningful year full of health, happiness, and growth in whatever way feels right for you. Thank you @Royal Crown Wigs for being a part of this beautiful experience. #haircovering #sheitel #roshhashana #orthodoxjewishlife #wigtok
