should anybody be manipulated? no. are These people victims? yes absolutely. If this happens constantly however at one point you gotta ask yourself "What I can do to prevent this from happening even if this isn't my fault". the Answer is usually leading with your head instead of your emotions until your emotions follow

Saying it’s “easy” is a bit naive to those who experience a fawn response, which is a lot of women. You’re not wrong about boundaries and them not actually being that great of a manipulator, but these people usually choose people who are vulnerable/traumatized and have been taught manipulative behaviors are love. That’s not easy to unlearn when it’s tied to your nervous system and takes time.
